Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes what data SĒNS (hereinafter the "Company") collects when you use the SĒNS application, the SĒNS smart ring and the server services (including api.sens.kz), how that data is stored and protected, and what rights you have. The Policy forms part of the Terms of Use.
1. Data We Collect
1.1 Account data
Email address, name, avatar and other profile details that you provide during registration or in the settings.
1.2 Data from the smart ring
Metrics received from the SĒNS ring via Bluetooth and synchronised with the Company's servers, including data on sleep, heart rate, HRV, temperature, stress, energy, activity, steps and workouts.
1.3 Manually entered data
Information about nutrition, water intake, menstrual cycle, workouts and other data that you enter or edit in the application.
1.4 Photos and voice recordings
Photos of food and voice descriptions uploaded for AI nutrition analysis, as well as screenshots of workouts from other wearable devices uploaded for recognition of activity metrics. Such materials are processed automatically and are not stored longer than necessary for the feature to work.
1.5 Technical data and logs
Device model, operating system version, language and time zone, application identifiers, push notification token, IP address, Bluetooth connection data, error logs and Service usage events.
1.6 Legal bases for processing
Personal data is processed on the basis of:
- performance of a contract (provision of the Service);
- your consent (including consent to the processing of health data);
- the Company's legitimate interests (security, prevention of abuse);
- compliance with legal obligations.
2. Health Data
Health data (including metrics from the ring and information about your cycle, nutrition, sleep and activity) belongs to a sensitive category of personal data. It is processed only with your explicit consent, which you give when using the relevant features of the Service.
Health data is never used for advertising, marketing or sale to third parties and is never shared with data brokers.
Apple Health (HealthKit) data. The Service reads from Apple Health only the workouts you select, and only after your permission; the Service does not write data to Apple Health. This data is used solely for the Service's health and activity features, is not sold, is not used for advertising, marketing or any other analysis for purposes unrelated to your health, and is not shared with third parties except to the extent necessary for those features to work. You can revoke the permission in the Health app or in iOS settings at any time.
You may withdraw your consent to the processing of health data at any time in the application settings or by contacting privacy@sens.kz. Withdrawing consent may limit access to some features of the Service.
3. Data Sharing
The Company may share personal data with the following categories of recipients — solely to the extent necessary for the Service to operate:
- cloud providers and hosting platforms;
- AI infrastructure providers (including Google Gemini);
- analytics and monitoring services;
- government authorities — upon a lawful and justified request.
The Company does not sell users' personal data.
Data may be processed outside your country of residence, including in other jurisdictions. For international transfers, the Company applies reasonable technical and organisational safeguards.
4. Data Storage and Security
4.1
Data is transmitted between the application, the ring and the Company's servers over secure protocols (HTTPS/TLS).
4.2
The Company applies technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.
4.3
Despite the measures taken, absolute security of data on the Internet cannot be guaranteed.
4.4
Personal data is stored for as long as your account exists, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- request access to your personal data;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your account and the associated data;
- restrict the processing of your data;
- withdraw your consent to processing;
- request an export of your data in a machine-readable format, where technically feasible.
Account deletion is available directly in the application (Settings). When an account is deleted, personal data is deleted or anonymised, except where a longer retention period is required by law.
Please send requests concerning personal data to privacy@sens.kz. The Company will respond within the reasonable period provided for by applicable law.
6. Changes to the Terms
The Company may update this document. We will notify you of material changes through the application, by email or by other reasonable means. The date of the last update is stated at the beginning of the document.
Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated version. If you do not agree to the changes, stop using the Service and delete your account.
